Duo Cello and piano - with Felix Thiemann
Francesca Rambaldi and Felix Eugen Thiemann met at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig in 2013 and since then they play regularly together as a duo. Her common sensitivity, musical understanding and great playfulness led them through a considerable part of the repertoire for violoncello and piano.
They played together in Germany, Italy and France at chamber music festivals such as the "San Giacomo Festival Bologna", "Musica in Bianco e Nero", "Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker" and others. They are members of the "Yehudi Menhuin Live Music Now" association, which bring music closer to disadvantaged people in places like hospitals, retirement homes and other social institutions.
Together with other musicians they also realize other projects, such as the Ensemble Rubin for modern music, with which they began a cooperation with the gallery "The Grass is greener" (Spinnerei Leipzig) and performed Schönberg's "Pierrot Lunaire".
Their goal is to communicate to the audience their enthusiasm and love for making music.
Their concerts are normally introduced by the musicians theirselves with a short, incisive and interesting illustration of their programms and projects.

Francesca Rambaldi und Felix Eugen Thiemann begegneten sich 2013 an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig und spielen seitdem regelmäßig zusammen als festes Duo. Ihre gemeinsame Sensibilität, musikalische Verständis und große Spielfreude führte sie bereits durch einen beträchtlichen Teil des Repertoires für Violoncello und Klavier.
Sie sind zusammen in Deutschland, Italien und Frankreich bei Kammermusikfestivals aufgetreten, wie beispielsweise bei dem „San Giacomo Festival Bologna“, der „Musica in Bianco e Nero“, den „Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker“ und anderen. Außerdem waren sie Mitglieder des Vereins „Yehudi Menhuin Live Music Now“, welcher ermöglicht, benachteiligten Menschen an Orten wie Krankenhäusern, Altersheimen und anderen Sozialeinrichtungen Musik näher zu bringen,.
Mit anderen Musikern verwirklichen sie auch weitere Projekte, wie das Ensemble Rubin für moderne Musik, mit welchem sie eine Kooperation in der Spinnerei Leipzig begannen und Schönbergs „Pierrot Lunaire“ zur Aufführung brachten.
Ihr Ziel ist es, dem Publikum ihre Begeisterung und Liebe für das gemeinsame Musizieren zu vermitteln.

Francesca Rambaldi e Felix Eugen Thiemann si sono incontrati nel 2013 alla «Hochschule für Musik und Theater» a Lipsia e formano da allora un duo stabile. La loro comune sensibilità, musicalità e interesse nella musica d'insieme li ha portati a scoprire e interpretare una sigificativa parte del repertorio per violocello e pianoforte.
Si sono esibiti in diversi festival di musica da camera in Germania, Italia, Francia: San Giacomo Festival, Goethe Zentrum Bologna, Musica in Bianco e Nero, Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker e altri. Entrambi fanno parte di «Yehudi Menhuin Live Music Now», associazione il cui scopo sociale è di portare la musica in luoghi particolari come ospedali, carceri e case di riposo.
Insieme ad altri musicisti realizzano anche altri progetti come l'Ensemble Rubin con un particolare interesse per la musica moderna e contemporanea e per il dialogo con altre forme d'arte. Con questo progetto hanno avviato una collaborazione con la Spinnerei Leipzig (galleria «The Grass is greener» ) ed eseugito recentemente il «Pierrot Lunaire» di Schönberg.
I concerti del duo sono generalmente moderati dai musicisti stessi con una breve, incisiva e interessante introduzione ai programmi e ai progetti.
